SPIRITUAL HEALING

Maidenhead Spiritualist Church

SPIRITUAL HEALING

ALL ARE WELCOME Wednesday between 1.00pm to 3.00pm .

No appointment necessary, there is no charge, but donations towards church running costs are welcome. You don’t have to be ill to benefit from Spiritual Healing. Spiritual Healing can be given to anyone whatever their faith. It assists on many levels and treats the whole person. No faith is needed. Nothing is expected from the patient, other than an open mind and a wish to feel well again. Having a positive attitude can greatly influence the results of healing

There is no charge for healing, but donations can be made. A healing session lasts between 10 and 20 minutes, but varies from person to person. Normally contact healing is given where the Spiritualist Healer places their hands, with your permission directly onto your body, whilst ensuring there is no cause for embarrassment. Alternatively, Near to Body healing can be requested where the Spiritualist Healer does not touch you but administers healing by placing their hands within three inches of your body.

You will be asked for some brief details on a form e.g name, address, emergency contact number, and Doctor, as we need to keep a record of who we give healing to and on what date to protect you and the healer. The Spiritual Healer will complete a record each time you visit. It is strictly confidential; however, you can see your record, but no one else, not even your Doctor.

You can ask your Doctor to refer you for Spiritual Healing in accordance with “NHS Choices” if they feel it will be beneficial.

Spiritual Healing is not an alternative to medical treatment but is complementary to it. A healer will always encourage you to keep in touch with your Doctor, so do tell them of any benefits you may feel. The Doctor always remains in control of your medical care.

Spiritual Healing can be of benefit in the following circumstances:
Complimentary to medical procedures to assist the body in healing itself, cases of depression, recovery from an operation or bout of sickness, post trauma including coming to terms with the passing of a loved one,

You are more than welcome to sit silently while enjoying the peace, harmony and tranquility that are an important part of the healing process. If you wish you can discuss any aspects of the Church or Spiritualism if you would like to know more.

Maidenhead Spiritualist Church has female Spiritual Healers. All Spiritual Healers have to comply with a Code of Conduct and have professional insurance. Spiritual Healers have to train for a minimum of two years and pass written and practical tests before they are approved by the governing body.

Click on the button to see the Cancer UK website that has information about Spiritual Healing for people with cancer, and there is information about different forms of healing.

If you are interested in becoming a Spiritual Healer then do come along on a Wednesday evening for a chat with our Healing leader, Eveline Hewitson or come to a workshop on Spiritual healing.

Absent Healing This term can best be explained as ‘healing at a distance through the application of thought’. This method of spiritual healing is just as beneficial as contact healing because the effects of healing are brought about by the natural healing forces. You can send us your name or names of family members or pets that need helaing sent to them with a request to add them to our absent healing book – please use the form on the `contact us’ page.

Animals can also receive healing (usually cats and dogs) but the owner will be advised by Healer that should the animal require veterinary treatment they must consult a veterinary surgeon regarding the health of my animal. The owner will be asked to give consent for the animal named to receive Spiritual Healing.
